Paul’s Best Lawn Service, Inc. is a locally based, 2nd generation family-owned full service grounds maintenance company started by Paolo (Paul) Lo Monaco in 1978. Paul was born in Sicily and raised in the South American country of Uruguay.

He came from humble beginnings on a small family farm and he brought with him his strong work ethic upon emigrating to the United States. He started his lawn service in Arlington, VA while working full-time driving buses for Metro in Washington, DC. He started with only a small push lawn mower and simple garden tools as well as a strong desire to build his business by offering genuine service - the highest quality possible at a fair price. The realization of Paul’s Best Lawn Service, Inc. would have been impossible without the extensive physical and emotional support of his late wife, June, a native Arlingtonian.

Paul’s has developed into a strong local business that offers a variety of services including basic lawn mowing with turf care, and routine property maintenance (clean-ups, weeding, edging & mulching, gutter cleaning, and pruning shrubbery). Other services include drainage & grading, sod installations, and commercial snow plowing. In 2013 Paul & June sold the business to their two sons, Jay & Tim Lo Monaco, both of whom work diligently to realize Paul’s original goals: to provide the best possible customer service in both the field and the office and to do so at a fair price. While the work in this industry can be considered “mundane”, we take all aspects of this work very seriously. We continue to lead other lawn service providers in our area through integrity, honesty, reliability, attention to detail, and by providing the same high level of lawn service at any client’s home that we would expect at our own homes.
